    Arbor Crew Lead / Tree Worker

    Build safer, stronger landscapes. Lead from the front.

    We’re looking for an Arbor Crew Lead who can lead with clarity, work with precision, and take ownership of both crew and craft.

    The Role

    This is a hands-on leadership position at the core of our field operations. You’ll guide a crew through daily arbor work in residential, urban, and landscaped environments—while staying aligned with company standards, safety, and client expectations.

    You’ll operate as the link between field crews and management, ensuring projects run smoothly, safely, and to a high standard.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead Field Operations

    • Direct daily crew activities from briefing to project completion

    • Communicate project scope, safety considerations, and expectations

    • Oversee equipment, logistics, and site setup

    • Ensure quality control and efficient execution

    • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients

    Drive Safety + Accountability

    • Enforce PPE and safety protocols

    • Monitor crew well-being and performance

    • Maintain clean, organized, and ready-to-go trucks and equipment

    Support Operations

    • Track time, project progress, and reporting

    • Assist with planning, scheduling, and training

    • Support shop upkeep, equipment maintenance, and logistics

    Core Work Includes

    • Arbor Work

    • Tree trimming, pruning, and removals

    • Vegetation management and thinning

    • Chipping, hauling, and biomass processing

    • Stump grinding and log handling

    • Tree health and fertilization

    Additional Scope

    • Defensible space + wildfire mitigation

    • Technical tree felling

    • Prescribed fire + pile burning

    • Trail work, reseeding, and restoration

    • Mapping, monitoring, and wildfire assignments

    Tools + Equipment

    You’ll regularly work with:

    • Chainsaws, pole saws, and brush cutters

    • Climbing and rigging systems

    • Chippers, stump grinders, and loaders

    • Aerial lifts and heavy equipment

    • Mapping tools (ArcGIS, ArborNote)

    What You Bring

    • Strong leadership and crew management skills

    • Clear communication and decision-making

    • High attention to detail and accountability

    • Comfort with physically demanding, technical work

    • Ability to operate across field, shop, and admin needs

    • Valid driver’s license

    We’re looking for a Forestry Crew Lead who can lead in demanding environments, operate with confidence, and take ownership of both crew and equipment.


    The Role

    This is a field-first leadership position focused on forestry operations. You’ll lead a crew through wildfire mitigation, vegetation management, and restoration work across rural and wildland settings.

    You’ll serve as the connection between crew and management—ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead Field Operations

    • Direct daily crew workflow from briefing to completion

    • Communicate project scope, safety requirements, and expectations

    • Oversee equipment, logistics, and site setup

    • Maintain quality control across all project work

    • Act as the on-site point of contact when needed

    Operate + Manage Equipment

    • Safely operate and oversee use of forestry equipment

    • Ensure tools, trucks, and machinery are functional and properly used

    • Coordinate loading, transport, and job site readiness

    Drive Safety + Accountability

    • Enforce PPE and safety protocols in high-risk environments

    • Monitor crew performance, awareness, and well-being

    • Maintain clean, organized, and ready-to-deploy gear and vehicles

    Support Operations

    • Track time, project progress, and reporting

    • Assist with planning, scheduling, and crew development

    • Support shop upkeep, equipment maintenance, and logistics

    Core Work Includes

    • Forestry + Wildland Operations

    • Technical tree felling and removals

    • Vegetation thinning and defensible space

    • Slash pile construction and prescribed fire

    • Chipping, hauling, and biomass processing

    • Mulching, reseeding, and restoration work

    • Noxious weed removal and land management

    • Mapping, monitoring, and field data collection

    Additional Scope

    • Arbor work (pruning, removals, fertilization)

    • Trail maintenance and restoration

    • Wildfire assignments and support

    Tools + Equipment

    You’ll regularly work with:

    • Chainsaws, brush cutters, and pole saws

    • Chippers, stump grinders, and wood processing equipment

    • Tracked loaders, mini excavators, and skid steers

    • Rigging, winching, and site safety systems

    • Aerial lifts and transport trailers

    • Mapping tools (ArcGIS Field Maps, ArborNote)

    What You Bring

    • Strong leadership and crew management ability

    • Confidence operating equipment and working in dynamic environments

    • Clear communication and decision-making

    • High attention to detail and accountability

    • Physical capacity for strenuous, technical fieldwork

    • Ability to move between field, shop, and operational support roles
